#MahaloMonday: Mike Acosta

June 18, 2018

Remember that 2008 movie, Yes Man?  The feel-good film starred Jim Carrey, portraying fictional character Carl Allen, who goes to a self-help seminar, where only one main thing is taught: unleashing the power of YES. Long story short, the protagonist’s entire world opens up as he realizes the complete game changer that his attitude and outlook on life, and his belief in the what is possible, shifts always to the affirmative.

The reinvented “Yes Man” changes not only his own life with this postivephilosophy but also the lives of all those surrounding him.  Who wouldn’t wnat to surround oneself with more Yes Men and Women?

Luckily, Garrett Wong, Arrival Experience Manager at Sheraton Waikiki, has discovered a Yes Man within the ranks of his empolyee team.  His name is Micheal “Mike” Acosta and according to Wong, this Bell Storage Attendant Clerk is Hawaii’s very own Yes Man.

“Mike always finds a way to yes,” says Wong.  “He is an associate who exemplifies the Aloha Spirit, lives the Sheraton Brand, and is genuine in his care for all guests and all employees of the hotel.”

Even more remarkable is that Acosta is not only a Yes Man, but that he has been making yes happen for Sheraton hotel guests for more than 23 years!

Keep reading for Mike’s recommendations for what to do and where to go when you visit Oahu, plus what it means to him to #GoBeyond.
